The Discovering Diversity Projects organized by the Prince Albert Multicultural Council consist of several multicultural and anti-racism activities throughout the Prince Albert and Area Community.

Research indicates that barriers exist between recent Newcomers and the Indigenous/Metis population.

PAMC believes that both groups would benefit from activities that encourage positive, respectful interactions that are designed to build trust and understanding.

Each Discovering Diversity activity will engage groups in fun, social and creative ways that will enable participants from multiple backgrounds to recognize common traits and values rather than divisive ones. It is our hope that participants will learn to value ethno-cultural Canadian diversity as they discover and share each other’s history, culture, and individuality.

Diversity Nights will be held 4 times throughout the year. The evening events are open to everyone and will showcase at least two cultures within our community. The presentations will include different traditions, storytelling, games, and food.
